Manulife Investment Management has named Marc Feliciano as global head of real estate, private markets.

Feliciano reports to Christoph Schumacher, global head of real assets. He is joining from DWS where he was the chief investment officer of real estate, Americas, and the head of portfolio and asset management for the Real Estate Americas business. He was also head of the Americas debt investments group. He has nearly 30 years of experience spanning public and private real estate investment management.

US Department of the Treasury
The US Department of the Treasury announced today that the Office of Financial Research’s director, Dino Falaschetti, is leaving, and that James Martin will become the acting director on February 28. Martin, who joined the OFR in 2016, serves as the deputy director of operations.

Martin oversees the OFR’s budget, human capital, administrative support, procurement, facilities, and emergency management programs. He is also responsible for organizational policy, performance, and planning, as well as communications. He has a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree, both in business administration. He also holds an executive certificate in international business management. He is a veteran of the US Air Force.

Capitol Securities Management
Capitol Securities Management, a firm serving the Mid-Atlantic region, has appointed Jason T Ferree from Wells Fargo Advisors.

Ferree, who has 23 years of experience in the sector, began his financial services career with First Union in 1999. First Union and Wachovia merged and a few years later was bought by Wells Fargo. After 23 years he finally opened his own firm with Capitol Securities along with their clearing partner Raymond James in 2022. Raymond James was established in 1962 and is one of the premier financial research firms in the industry. Ferree is a United States Air Force Veteran, earning a degree after serving in the military at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He holds the Series 7, 66, 63, Life insurance and Long-Term Care Insurance certifications and licenses.
